Our Members have a wonderful and supportive community. Memberships are designed for people who would like to work independently, and have an in-depth understanding of how to work with clay. If your skills are a little rusty, we suggest taking Wheel I&II.
Dues are paid by the 1st of each month.
Members purchase clay, and some glazes if we don't provide what you want.
The studio is open for members during Practice Time Hours.
Members are given keys and have open access to the studio at anytime.
Shelf Rental $125 per month:
Members are assigned two, 30"x12" shelves to store work in progress and tools.
Private Studios $175 per month:
Private studios are 5 1/2' x 7'. All private studio spaces are filled. If you are interested in this option, please ask to be added to the wait-list.
Day Rental $10 per day:
Members can purchase studio access by the day with a $25 deposit that will be returned if the space is left clean. If you are new to clay, you are required to take the one-hour tutorial class (you may sign up under the Classes Tab). Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult or given permission to use the studio by the Studio Manager.
Day Rental participants are required to clean the spaces they use.
Pottery wheels may be used by people who have thrown on the wheel before, and when there is not a class in session.
Sanctuary Pottery Studio is not responsible for technical difficulties you will experience if you choose this option. No refunds will be given if your pieces crack, blow up, or stick to the shelves. If these warnings are striking fear into your heart, we recommend you begin with a four-week course.
All work that is left unfinished for more than two weeks will be considered abandoned.
